What the assistant does with Animalert

It starts from the name of your town, nothing more. It never asks for an address or a location.

The animals reported around your town

It shows the latest lost or found animals reported on Animalert around a French town, as up to four cards with a photo.

Each card opens the report on animalert.app. A link leads to all the other reports in the Animalert app.

The steps to follow in that town

It gives the steps to follow in the town. When the town has published its own procedure on Animalert, that is the one. Otherwise, it gives the steps that apply everywhere in France: report the animal on Animalert, have its microchip or tattoo read, declare it to the I-CAD, put up a poster, and declare a found animal to the town hall or the pound.

It also tells you whether the town is an Animalert partner: its services then see the lost and found reports on their territory.

The animal's poster

It gives you the link to Animalert's poster generator, to print a lost or found animal poster with its photo.

Make your pet's poster

Your dog's or cat's age

It converts a dog's or cat's age into human years, with the same model as Animalert's age calculator.

Work out your pet's age

What a dog or a cat costs

It estimates what a dog or a cat costs in France, with the same model as Animalert's cost calculator.

Estimate your pet's budget

Questions to ask it

  • Lost pets reported in Granville?

  • I found a cat in Paris, what should I do?

  • Make a lost dog poster

Add Animalert to your assistant

Once Animalert is added, ask your question as usual: the assistant calls on Animalert when it is about a lost or found animal.

  1. Open Claude's connectors

On claude.ai or in the Claude app, open the connectors page.

    Open the connectors
  2. Add a custom connector

Name it Animalert, paste this address and keep the no sign-in option: Animalert asks for no account.

    https://mcp.animalert.app/mcp
  3. Ask your question

In a conversation, check that Animalert is turned on in the + menu, then ask for example: “Lost pets reported in Granville?”

Claude's free plan lets you add one custom connector.

What Animalert receives

The assistant sends Animalert only what your question needs.

Only what the question needs

The name of a town, the kind of report, a species, a language or a pet's age.

No account, no name, no conversation

Animalert receives no account, no name, no contact detail, and none of your conversation. You do not need an Animalert account.

From the assistant's servers

The request comes from the assistant's servers, not from your phone or your computer.

Your questions are not kept

Animalert only keeps anonymous daily counts: which assistant, which tool, which town.

What comes back is already public

The assistant receives what the public report pages already show: the animal's photo, its species, its name and breed when its family gave them, the date and the town. Never a contact detail or an exact location.

It reads, it never posts

The assistant reads the public reports. It posts nothing and changes nothing on Animalert.

The details are in our privacy policy, in the section Animalert in AI Assistants.

For developers: The server is a read-only MCP server, at https://mcp.animalert.app/mcp.
