Our collaboration

Google for Nonprofits gives eligible non-profits a bundle of Google products and levers tailored to non-commercial usage. For Animalert, two pieces make the daily difference: Google Ad Grants and Workspace.

Ad Grants gives us access to $120,000 per year of advertising budget on Google Ads, which we currently spend on acquisition campaigns around lost, found and deceased pet reports. It is the most structural lever of the partnership: it makes a free app audible at the scale of the cities and départements we want to cover. Without it, that scale would be out of reach.

Workspace then equips the whole internal organisation. In practice: @animalert.app email addresses for volunteers and the board, a shared Drive that centralises the non-profit's documents, Meet video sessions with extended capacity (longer sessions, raised participant cap) for volunteer coordination, and several terabytes of storage that absorb video, photo and archive material painlessly. This is a technical partnership, not a marketing one. We don't lean on the Google brand to sell anything, we use it to keep a free citizen service running.
